Four Steps to Crafting Better E-Mail Subject Lines

Generating response from your e-mail marketing programs is about the list and the message. While many districts are now using more sophisticated e-mail filters, there are some “basics” to messaging and subject lines that will help make sure your message gets delivered. When writing subject lines, keep these guidelines in mind:

  1. Timely and Important Information: Make sure the recipient knows that your message needs attention now!
  2. Relevancy: Use subject lines that include information that your educator-prospects care about, such as “Three Proven Remediation Strategies to Use With Your Struggling Readers.”
  3. Distinctive: Leverage your brands, corporate identity, and other distinct characteristics.
  4. Helpful: Be sure you give educators either helpful information or valuable offers, so they’re motivated to take the next action steps to inquire about or purchase your products.
