2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
On Tuesday, February 17, 2009, President Barack Obama signed the economic stimulus bill into law. There are several areas of education slated to receive funds through already authorized programs, such as Title I and IDEA, and will use the same allocation mechanisms and regulations already in place.

USPS Move Update Requirements
By now you may have heard about the new USPS Move Update requirements that went into effect on November 23, 2008. The Move Update standards have been expanded to include all First-Class™ and Standard Mail®, and are required for postal discount rates. Additionally, the minimum frequency of change-of-address processing will change to 95 days prior to the date of the mailing (from 185 days) to be eligible for automation and presort discount rates.

The Postal Rate Is Changing...What Can You Do to Reduce the Impact on Your Business?
The USPS will adjust postal rates on May 12, 2008, and has reported the overall rate increase is within the CPI cap. The percentage increase varies greatly with some Standard Mail Non-Automation categories increasing by as much as 10%, making incorrect mailing addresses even more of a liability and increasing the likelihood of waste. The Updated Structure of the NYC Department of Education
