Why do some fulfillment houses find some of our addresses undeliverable before they even send them?
- Nothing is perfect including matching software and the postal file. Different matching software will return slightly different results.
- MDR uses CASS certification software to append ZIP+4 and delivery point information. All of our ZIP+4s are DPV® validated. Click here for more information about the USPS DPV System.
- On MDR's public education universe file, over 95% of the addresses have ZIP+4 extensions. Even if a very small percentage of MDR addresses do not match the postal file, it does not mean that they are undeliverable. It just means the addresses have to be mailed at the non-automation postal rate.
- By not mailing these records you may be missing some opportunity.
- All MDR school and district building addresses are guaranteed to be 100% deliverable, and we a have $1 nixie credit policy. (See next question.)
What is MDR's nixie guarantee?
MDR’s guarantee on deliverability demonstrates our confidence in our database. MDR will refund $1 for every piece of undeliverable mail from our school, library, and early childhood address files that is received within 90 days of invoice date.
What types of returns are not eligible for refund?
- Nixies that have correct addresses, but are returned due to contact name conflict (name nixies)
- Nixies generated from Contract Data Lease clients
- Non-MDR nixies
- Nixies from invoices that are over 90 days old
- Addresses found to be undeliverable by fulfillment house software but have not had delivery attempted
