Dr.
Geoffrey H. Fletcher Dr. Fletcher also is Executive Director, T.H.E. Institute, a division of T.H.E. Journal. Its mission is to provide professional development services and consulting to organizations doing business with education or directly to K-12 and higher education institutions. Dr. Fletcher also has served as the Executive Director of the Texas Computer Education Association (TCEA). Prior to joining T.H.E., Dr. Fletcher was Assistant Commissioner at the Texas Education Agency (TEA), with responsibility for curriculum, assessment, technology, textbooks, and professional development. He was with the TEA for 11 years serving in various positions, all related to instructional technology. During his time at TEA, he oversaw the development of the state’s first long-range plan for technology, the creation and administration of the $100+ million Technology Allotment, and numerous statewide initiatives. For over two years, he also had responsibility for TEA’s information system, including the Public Education Information Management System, the largest statewide education information system in the country. In addition to his work at the TEA, Dr. Fletcher has served as the first technology coordinator for the LaPorte, Texas, schools. He has been a coordinator for gifted education and a coordinator for futures studies. Dr. Fletcher’s higher education experience includes teaching at Miami University and serving as adjunct professor for three other universities. He started his career in education as a secondary English teacher in Ohio. Dr. Fletcher holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Miami University, a Master of Arts in teaching from Miami University, and an ED.D in education from the University of Cincinnati, with an emphasis on futures study, gifted education, and curriculum. |

Paula
Love, Ed.D. Dr. Love has over 30 years of educational experience. She has been the recipient of numerous grant and educational awards. During the late 1980s, she pioneered the first laptop computer project in the nation. As a former executive administrator for the Maryland State Department of Education, she successfully generated over $52 million in federal, foundation, and corporate grants. In addition to seeking out funds, she also coordinated 154 sub-grants issued by the state department to local school systems. Dr. Love has worked with educational technology companies where she was responsible for managing all grants and bid opportunities for the K-12, international, and post-secondary markets. Dr. Love founded Epona Express, Inc., a cross-sector consulting firm with expertise in educational funding services. As a major part of its core business, Epona Express advises leaders on the best ways to design and deliver funding strategies for schools, state and local educational agencies, institutions of higher education, and nonprofit and for-profit organizations. |

Jennifer House Jenny House is the Principal of RedRock Reports, a consulting, research and information services provider for K-12 grants and funding, delivering the publishing, technology and services community with insight about education funding and trends. A noted education market leader, Dr. House is a former school district administrator and educational technology innovator. In addition to tenure with the Cupertino, California, school district, she also held executive positions with Apple Computer, Classroom Connect, and other leading K-12 organizations. |

Kathleen
Brantley Kathleen, with over 20 years in the industry, has in-depth understanding of the unique characteristics of the education market and the emerging trends that impact how schools operate. Her expertise is often leveraged to help marketers design and implement successful sales and multi-channel marketing strategies. Kathleen has been instrumental in the expansion of MDR's product line which now includes Web-based sales solutions, turnkey e-mail marketing services, and Market Research Solutions. In her current role, she is responsible for strengthening MDR’s brand through expanding industry alliances and partnerships. Kathleen is a graduate of the University of South Florida and has spoken at many conferences including those hosted by The Association of Educational Publishers (AEP), The Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA), and The Association of American Publishers (AAP). |
